No week in my 12 years of marriage that went by without fights between my husband and I. Power struggle and rebelion, however I love him. I never knew that I was at fault and wrong about marriage and my place as a wife. From home I was misinformed by my mother. Saw how she ruled over my father and everyone else, and I thought that's the right attitude. I was always right and my husband and anyone that see with him were wrong. Because of my troubles, the man that loved me so much requested to be posted to another location far from home. I got enlightened in one of the HMI meetings how wrong and stupid I was, when you don’t know your place in marriage. I went for counseling and they helped us to come together again. We're so happy now.
I married late and after 7 years of waiting with the usual pressure and threats, I finally gave birth to our son Jato. He was a very funny, good looking boy. We doted on him so much. He was our world. When he was 10 my husband began to complain about his poor behavior and I would always come to his defense. That was when I lost him. At 15 he left the comfort of our home and joined gangs. Our sorrows were so deep. Two old people going childless. During the 2021 Marriage/Family Leadership Campaign in my community my husband and I petitioned God and went to see the Man of God. Today our son is with us and doing well. My husband and I are doing well both in the Lord and love because all these challenges really took away the warmth we shared. But now there’s all the restoration. Hallelujah.
